About us
Always Fresh started as a fruit stand at the corner of Five Forks Trickum and Rockbridge Road before moving indoors with the vision of becoming a neighborhood market where guests could find fresh produce, locally made breads, desserts, canned jams, and jellies. When owner Joel Guldenschuh saw produce going unsold, he began turning it into homemade vegetable soup to share with customers. The response from the community helped shape the business into something bigger, gradually growing from a neighborhood market into the restaurant it is today.
Those roots are still part of the experience. Fresh produce continues to come from local farmers and the state farmers market when in season, while the market still carries canned goods along with cakes and cookies from Sweet Memories Bakery in Between, Georgia. Over the years, the restaurant side has continued to grow, serving home-style meals to guests throughout the Lilburn area in a casual, welcoming setting.
More than anything, Always Fresh believes good food and good service go hand in hand. The goal has always been to create more than regular customers, but lasting friendships. As they like to say, you enter a customer and leave a friend.
